Belly Buttons
Alex asked me if I had a belly button the other day.
I said I did and showed him.
He said I had a deep belly button (this didn't bother me because even when I was body building at %19 body fat I still had a deep "inie." As a kid my brother's called it the black hole or something like that.)
But then he said innocently "Do you have a baby in your tummy?"
Uhmmm ouch! LOL Cute little innocent kids.
Update on My War with Nemesis
A week ago (Sunday) I took Richard into the E.R. at 1:30 in the morning because he was having labored breathing. His snot test came back positive with not only R.S.V but also Influenza. So we take him in one to two times a day to have respiratory suctioning. The respiratory therapist said that 2 years ago they would have admitted him but they realized how hard it is on babies to be away from family and for parents to be away from their other children. So instead of admitting the babies, they have the babies brought in for suctioning. Now until March is really bad for RSV so be careful if you have small children. Lock your doors and seal your windows, LOL.
In the middle of the week we took Alex and Cynthia in to the pediatrician, they also have R.S.V. Cynthia is on antibiotic for an ear infection, poor kid.
Katrina has been having fevers over 105 degrees. When we told her she couldn't go to school, on Friday, she flipped out. I thought she was going to hitch-hike her way to school. I told her that some kids pretend to be sick to miss school. She just couldn't understand that. Missing school is her personal nightmare.
Soon I will be sporting a portable EKG monitor, for a few weeks. I saw the cardiologist on Friday, the fatigue and chest pains are unbearable. The pain is probably caused by inflammation. The monitor will tell us what is going on during the heart palpitations. Part of me doesn't want to tell the doctors stuff because it just ends in more tests. I would almost rather be ignorant or blame it on anxiety. The backed up blood could be stretching the heart chamber and messing with nerves which results in arrhythmia. Next month I will also go in for a stress test and I'm due for another echo cardiogram. Wish me luck. One good thing is that I don't have anymore breathing problems.
In general, I eat healthy and exercise so it makes me mad when I have health issues. I was a health teacher for heaven's sake, why do I get the privilege of having issues? I'm sure thing are going to be fine and work out on their own, it's just really annoying. I look forward to the day of possibly being immortal. I'm sorry if this sounds like a pity party. I'm venting.
If it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger, right? I really have been greatly blessed in my life with an wonderful husband and family. I am grateful that we don't struggle financially, especially during these hard economic times. Most of all I'm grateful for a Savior that gives me hope daily. Hope in myself and my potential to be better individual through the atonement.

My Little Picasso
My Nemesis..AKA Virus
Why do kids get sick so often? Well let me see....it could be Cynthia sucking on the chairs at the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum Cafe (Which reminds me of the mess we left in the bathroom there last week. Two over full pants filled with poop and no,... not in diapers. I guess the kids were having too much fun in the sand box, digging for bones, to stop for a potty break.). Or maybe the sicknesses are from Alexander finding ABC gum on the floor and eating it. It could also be Cynthia feeling the need to touch the potty in public restrooms. And the kids just have to love-on the baby, which seems to more than not, end with a sneeze or cough in the baby's face. Any of these things could be responsible for my nemesis...AKA viruses.
I just pray this bout of immune system development doesn't conclude with baby Richard in the hospital with R.S.V. He wouldn't eat this morning because he is so sick but seems to be doing better this afternoon. At the Doctor's office yesterday they had a hard time getting an oxegen reading because his foot is so fat. At 3 months old he weighs in at 16 lbs 8 oz. Round N' Chunky.
We have pink eye for the THIRD TIME THIS WINTER. In the last few months we have had two ear infections, broncitis, mulluscum (nasty little bumps that are like warts that procreate at an incredible rate), ring worm, eczema, colds, flus, frequant bloody noses, and now RSV. And there is probably more but I can't think with my sleep deprived brain.
The snot flows freely at our house and so does the Lysol. I could lock them up for years in the house without seeing the light of day, but I think that is against the law in most states. Which reminds me.... a very nice CPS worker showed up a few weeks ago on my door step because at school they noticed marks on Alezander's skin (I guess the egzema and mulluscum scabs from dermatologist appointments looked like pinch marks....go figure). Or like Paul said maybe his teacher watches too much C.S.I. Anyways, it is hard to keep up with the rabid infestation of germs, bacteria, and viruses.
The kids are all sick, except Katrina who has Spencer's SUPER AWESOME immune system, of which I am jealous.
At least I can count my lucky stars by saying that we have never had lice... or chicken pox and wooping cough(like Chris and Taryn's family).....KNOCK ON WOOD.

Moto Moto
When I look at baby Richard I think of the new Madagascar Escape 2 Africa character Moto Moto.
Go to the website (skip intro) and then go to characters, pick Moto Moto. It's hularious.
http://www.madagascar-themovie.com/teaser.html
He is a Hipo that has a unibrow. His deep voice reminds me of baby Richard. As in "You HUGE" and "I like em chunky."
Richard is so cute, the little fatty fatty. His weight is in the 95th percentile. He loves the milk. Why aren't adults cute when their plumpy-chunky? Got MILK? If you do your Richard's favorite person.
Sylar was here!
SYLAR WAS HERE!
If you watch Heros like my husband does, you know who Sylar is. He is the bad guy...I think... Personally I prefer The Office and The Biggest Loser. Lately my favorite is...I hate to admit it because Spencer says it makes me an official GEEK....The New Battlestar Galactica. We started watching TV when I got pregnant. I get REALLY embarrassed when I cry during one of the shows...MUST BE THE HORMONES. When I was pregnant I cried when I was watching Jumungi. I know...embarrassing right?
